NOVEMBER 04, 2009: A Training Workshop on Network Forensics was organized by C-DAC School of Advanced Computing (C-SAC), Mauritius, at the University of Mauritius from October 27-29, 2009. This workshop was conducted in line with the Ministry of Information and Technology's (Government of Mauritius) announcement of the setting-up of a national body to fight against cyber-crimes.
This Executive Development Programme, aimed at developing a culture of IT security in Mauritius, was directed towards acquiring the knowledge of tools, techniques and strategies needed to safeguard organizations' most valuable asset, information, against cyber attacks. 55 participants from the government, parastatal, private and academic sectors attended the Training Workshop.
Mr. V.K. Bhadran, Additional Director, Resource Centre for Cyber Forensics, C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mr. Peter Kruse, Head, Research & Intelligence, CSIS Security Group, Denmark, were the resource persons.
